We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture.SummaryThe Digital Sales Specialist will work under the supervision of the Digital Sales Supervisor or Smartfarm Business Unit Manager to provide technical support to SGS Crop Advisors and other Simplot support staff, which is critical to the Company's efforts in capitalizing on the potential of Precision Agriculture (Digital Sales Enablement).-- Organize and analyze supportive crop production data to help the Company achieve financial and operational goals by supporting Crop Advisors in selling the correct crop nutrition, crop protection, seed, specialty, technology, and other agronomic products and consultative services to the grower.--This role requires the incumbent to either reside or relocate to the Treasure Valley Area.----Key Responsibilities

• Deploy scouting, trapping, moisture monitoring, and sampling services.
• Responsible for mapping including generating prescription maps; field maps; irrigation maps; yield analysis maps. Make recommendations for zone creation and geo-spatial analysis. Create boundaries and zones for growers.
• Serve as a Precision Agriculture liaison to SGS Crop Advisors by managing and communicating irrigation and sensor data so products and services are utilized effectively.
• Create and support variable rate applications for fertilizer and seed.
• Assist SGS Crop Advisors with soil and tissue sampling, collection of EC/EM data, moisture monitoring, trapping, and crop scouting, as well as summarizing crop results.
• Through job responsibilities, help customers yield desirable crop results with Precision Agriculture to maintain current customers and gain new customers with Simplot products and services.--Typical EducationBachelor's degree (B.S.) from a 4 year college or university, preferred in agronomy or ag business. (Equivalent experience of education and experience will be considered for meeting the minimum requirements of the role).Relevant Experience1+ years related experience and/or trainingRequired CertificationsOther Information
  Must have agronomic experience. Strong computer background and skills. Excellent problem solving and time management skills to ensure Crop Advisors and other support staff have the foundation needed to provide solutions to the customer.
