JOB TITLE: Mail Handler
As a Mail Handler, you will be responsible for.
Job Description:
Providing friendly customer service in a print/mail department for
Client Headquarters.
Duties involve but are not limited to receiving, sorting and
delivering US Mail and trackable packages, applying postage to
mail, sorting outbound printed materials for distribution to
stores, printing and performing finishing services such as cutting,
drilling, binding and collating printed materials, quality checking
printed and finished materials.
Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs, routinely lift and move
average 30lb packages - stand most of an 8-hour shift, though at
times will be seated.
Ability to use mail metering and opening equipment, printing
equipment, finishing equipment such as electronic hole punch or
hydraulic paper cutter.
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications)
Typically Required
Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Requires minimum of 3 years of related experience; 5 years is
preferred.
Working Conditions, Mental And Physical Demands
Typically, an office environment with adequate lighting and
ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise level
Work assignments are diversified. Interpret, comprehend, and apply
complex material, data, and instruction - prepare, provide, and
convey diversified information
Minimal physical effort required. Work is mostly sedentary but does
require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, or carrying
objects that typically with less than 10 lbs. (e.g., papers, books,
files, and small parts, etc.).
Regular application of basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand
tools, eye/hand coordination.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
Responsible for any or all of the following functions including
copy and mail center services, conference rooms and AV management,
convenience copier fleet management, and various support
services.
Achieves customer satisfaction by consistently preparing,
inspecting, compiling, and assembling projects accurately in a
timely manner.
Achieves Time Productive statistics by meeting standards
established by the facility.
Maintains all required reporting tools.
Demonstrates the ability to calibrate equipment by producing
likeness in color and quality as required matching originals.
Demonstrates the ability to transfer files electronically by
sending files from the network to color equipment.
Produces "error-free/perfect work" by demonstrating the operational
knowledge of the use of the duplication equipment used in the
location.
Maximizes print performance as workflow permits, by simultaneously
performing a minimum of two functions on print equipment.
Maintains optimal machine performance by correcting simple machine
problems (clearing jams, refilling toner, replacing machine oil,
etc.) and having a working knowledge of machine codes to report, in
the event of equipment failure.
Maintains and orders inventories of equipment parts in accordance
with company guidelines and processes.
Meets company attendance standards by reporting to work punctually
and working all scheduled hours and any required overtime.
Organizes a "job" by validating job name and number, reading
instructions on the Job Request Form, and organizing supplies.
Performs a full range of servicing and repair service procedures
including diagnostics, installation, removal, and retrofits on a
core set of highly complex office products.
Demonstrates required digital competencies associated with assigned
products and level assignments.
Performs troubleshooting and repairs or replaces equipment
components, as necessary. Completes technical training on new
equipment as assigned.
Location: BOISE, Idaho 83706
Duration: 24 Months Contract
Pay: $20 - $21.50/hr.
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on
several factors, including the candidate's education, work
experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications,
etc.
