Boise Veterans Affairs Medical Center seeks a BC/BE internal
medicine or family medicine primary care physician to join our
growing, collegial, and multi-disciplinary team in Caldwell, ID
(located 30 minutes from Boise) and focused on providing
exceptional care to our veterans. You will find a very welcoming

The Caldwell Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) is our
largest and fastest growing outpatient clinic. We have 8 full-time
providers, with 3 physicians, 2 Physician Assistants and 3 Nurse
Practitioners. Each provider works with a Registered Nurse,
Licensed Practical Nurse/Medical Assistant, and receptionist to
provide comprehensive primary care services to a panel of up to 900
patients. Expected appointment volume is 10 routine 30 min
appointments, and 2 same day appointments used as needed in an 8
hour day. Panel management is supported by a team clinical
pharmacist and by integrated behavioral health professionals. The
Caldwell CBOC also has specialty services including eye care,
physical therapy, simple wound, dermatology and joint
injections.
The Primary Care Medical Director is the direct supervisor of the
providers in the clinic and as such has responsibility for
approving schedules, leave, performing annual evaluations, OPPEs,
and FPPEs as necessary. Medical Directors work collaboratively with
clinic leaders other than their own to promote best practices and
to cover work duties when needed.
