The Coughlin Foot & Ankle Orthopedics Clinic is now hiring for a
personable and efficient Medical Assistant to work at our clinic
located on our Regional Medical Center campus in Boise!
Position Summary & Highlights:
- This position will work with a busy Podiatrist who is newer to
the clinic.
- At Saint Alphonsus Medical Group Podiatry, we specialize in
surgical and non-surgical treatment of foot and ankle problems
including athletic injuries, fractures, arthritis, deformities,
tendinitis, and ingrown toenails.
- The Coughlin Clinic is one of only a handful of hospitals in
the country where the Scandinavian Total Ankle Replacement
(S.T.A.R.) is being used as a safe and viable alternative to ankle
arthrodesis.
- Saint Alphonsus' foot and ankle team includes orthopedic
surgeons who specialize in orthopedic foot and ankle surgery. They
treat the most common to the most complex cases and is active in
clinical medical research, helping improve foot and ankle care for
all their patients.
- The clinic has a collaborative environment, and all the
clinical staff work to support each other to care for all of their
patients. While this position will be mostly supporting a new
Podiatrist, you will also occasionally help support other
providers.
- The clinic supports open communication and transparency. They
encourage team members to feel comfortable sharing ideas, feedback,
and concerns. They also work hard to have an inclusive team

work for team building when possible.
What You Will Do :
- Assist with procedures, drawing up injections, and wound
care.
- Also assist with casting, splinting, suture removal, and
applying dressings.
- Complete surgery scheduling, prior authorizations, and
referrals.
- This clinic boasts a positive and enjoyable work environment
and strong teamwork!

fast-paced clinic environment, has strong organizational skills,
and enjoys learning new things and providing excellent patient
care.

Work Schedule:
- 40 hours/week, Mondays - Fridays, typically around the hours of
7:45am - 4:30pm.
- Shift start and end time may vary based on provider's schedule
and clinic needs.
Location:
- 1075 N. Curtis Rd, Ste. 300, Boise, Idaho 83706 (On the Boise
Regional Medical Center campus)
- In the future, this provider may see patients at the Eagle
Health Plaza.

Minimum Requirements :
- High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
- MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of
the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
- American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
- American Medical Technologists (RMA)
- National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
- National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA)
- American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)
- National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA)
- New Graduates: 1) MA certificate of completion required from an
accredited program or school. 2) Completion of either a 100-hour MA
externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship
hours even with MA certification.
- Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 Year of MA experience OR
Current MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90
days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed
above.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from
either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at
hire.
- Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an
MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year.

certification.
