Voca Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Meridian, Idaho.Job Description & Requirements

Respiratory, GI, anything medical thatyou wouldn't do surgery on, behavioral health- if pts been in ER for more than 1 day will room up here to work on d/c plan.- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must have 2 years of MedSurg experience. Must have EPIC experience. Must be able to read andinterpret tele. Must be willing to take students, may be precept new travelers- please note on interview they are willing.- Are RNs required to titrate drips: no- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: heparin, PCAs, morphine drips.- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift: Charge Nurse on each shift- very rarely takes patients but will if there is a need. Day shift alsohas an ADT nurse that helps with admits, discharges, and tasking.- Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit: Yes- 1:8.- RT Equipment: CPAP, BiPAP-RT manages, high flow.- Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit: Virtual Tele techs. RNs are required to read and interpret own strips. Currently haveSpaceLab but are transitioning to Philips by end of June.- Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hours 7-730. Scheduler will schedule travelers- no block scheduling.- Weekend Requirement: 5 weekend shifts in a 6 week period- travelers are utilized to fill in gaps.- Holiday Requirement: Yes- if there is a need- Is there Call or a Standby requirement: n/a- Floating Requirements: Will float between MedSurg 5, MedSurg 6, and a 9 bed overflow unit. Can also go to any like units in thesystem- Boise Medical Center 8mi away and Nampa Medical Center- both about 8 miles away.
